- He/She is responsible for planning, directing, controlling and coordinating all the activities of his staff. He/She ensures the effective and smooth operation of his department. He/She leads by example and trains his/her staff.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Make the monthly and daily reports to his superior.
- Control the equipment and material of his work area.
- Supervise room cleaning.
- Monitor the condition of the room.
- Prepare the work sheet of the Supervisor.
- Control the requisition of materials and amenities and prepare the requisition order for his superior’s review and approval.
- Control the key used by the staff performance.
- Double check the VIP room, make sure that VIP items are displayed.
- Check the Public Areas of the hotel and assign the work to the attendants
- Handle the reports of the departments.
- Handle the mini bar refill and check the vouchers.
- Check the cleanliness of the Housekeeping operation.
- Monitor and follow up the pest control.
- Handle the delivery of flowers and prepare them in an attractive way according to the needs of the internal and external customer.
- Plan and program the deep cleaning of the rooms.
- Program the daily cleaning operation in accordance with the occupancy of the hotel.
- Change the status of the room on the computerized system.
- Divide the schedule for room attendants, assign the work and hand over keys for them to clean the room.
- Check the amenities on the trolley.
- Check and inspect the quality and cleanliness of all rooms.
- Check the equipment of the guestrooms and work closely with the maintenance department in ensuring the proper and regular preventive maintenance program.
- Make a regular report to his superior.
- Take care of special requests.
- Report any incident on the housekeeping logbook
- Prepare the Mini bar vouchers and deliver them to the Front Office.
- Record all lost and found items and send them to the housekeeping office.
- Help the staff when necessary.
- Replace the Senior Housekeeping Supervisor in his absence. Develop training and development plans for his staff; implement and evaluate these plans.
- Update room status report on worksheet & discrepancy report and submit to FO – ACC the end of each shift
- Ability to work in a computer based, multi-task environment. Must be able to work independently with little supervision, as well as have the ability to consider, evaluate and make sound business decisions regarding financial related questions.
- Must be familiar with all hotels procedures, regulations.
